There are many occassions througout the year to celebrate. This time, I am focusing on the International Women's Day and on Mother's Day.
The picture above showcases a stamp set from Hero Arts called the Universal Woman. And what could be more befitting? As women, we need to be universal to be able to fulfill a wide range of social roles. We are mothers, daughters, wives, employees, employers, homemakers, lovers, girlfriends, gentle, strong, conflict and problem solvers, and all round amazing beings :-)
What I like about the stamp set is also the range of positive words you can choose from. To name a few: wonderful, beautiful, limitless, marvelous. We all have a woman in our life, be it our mum or a nan, our friend, our teacher, neighbour or someone else, who we can attribute many of these words. Why not letting them know how special and wonderful they are?
I kept the card very simple. I used some leftover kraft card and beige ink and then used no line colouring technique with my Prismacolor pencils. I was merely messing about whilst my little boy was napping, but the process was so relaxing and calming.
